This material, often referred to as loose polyester fibre fill, is commonly used for stuffing various items such as furniture cushions, pillows, stuffed animals, and pet beds. It is also suitable for crafting and creating round bolsters. Naturally hypoallergenic, it possesses anti-bacterial properties.
If your current cushion has flattened and is no longer offering support, you can revive it using this material. Simply weigh the cushion to determine how much new fill is required to replace the old stuffing. Typically, a sofa back cushion weighs around 5 lbs.
To achieve the perfect balance, you can choose a thinner foam and encase it in several layers of 2” or 3” Dacron fibre. For guidance, refer to Fibre Wrap.
